((OOC: Okay, I have a complete horror story.. 

When I was fifteen I RP-ed for the first time on.. I know.. Gaia.. I know it’s a bad place for RP, but I didn’t know what the heck I was doing back then anyway.

I was playing a canon character, a male, from a show I loved at the time (group RP).. and there was this girl who played this TOTAL MARY SUE MONSTROSITY! I mean.. God.. Her character was sixteen, blonde, had GIANT boobs, a super-kind angel personality, weighed eighty pounds, and had a tragic backstory.. So she immediatly (and without my knowledge or permission) created a whole backstory about her character and mine being in love when they were kids and meeting up again. 

I told her, politely, that I didn’t really want to get that I didn’t want backstory to be established at this point.. but she continued to use that story anyway. Then, her character starts stalking mine, pressing her boobs against him, and insisting they were in love. 

Then when I tried to get my character away from hers.. She called me an elitist.

((I experienced something similar when I first arrived here to start my RPing run here. 

My original main RP partner, Shy, was one of the first people I met here. He was a really REALLY good rper, and they played their character well. Later on, however, he started feeling like he was done with his character. I was alright with it, the relationship between Shy and Archive had pretty much run full course. Well, he decided to start a pony RP blog.

At first, it was REALLY good. He had a talent with RP that inspired my own.

However, sometime later things entered a rather steep decline. Just to give you an example of the kinds of things that happened, the nepeta account (which is still active, by the way) is now a genderswapped human nepeta with a constant case of the horndog and for the life of me I can’t figure out what happened. I used to be really good friends with the guy, but when people started complaining about him I  brought it up to him and he started to drill me for names. I declined, stating that it would be a breach of trust, and yet still he drilled me. 

It was right there that I finally gave up on it and unfollowed. Later on I saw someone reblog a post where he was already smoothing over the event in standard bad-rper fashion, I.E. “who gives a fuck he’s wrong and a bitch lol” kind of stuff. 

It really makes me wonder what happened to him. He really was a cool dude, but I really wish I knew what caused him to go down the deviantart road like this.))

I used to roleplay all the time on Gaia,and it’s not that bad if you find the right people.GOD I HAD SO MANY MARY SUES.I’m hoping my characters at least are moderately okay now.
